In Zusammenarbeit mit dem bidt veranstaltet die Fakultät für Informatik der Technischen Universität München eine öffentliche Ringvorlesung zum Thema Digitalisierung. Betrachtet werden soll das Thema aus der Perspektive unterschiedlicher Disziplinen, um so ein übergreifendes und interdisziplinäres Verständnis der Materie zu erzielen.

Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Medicine

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is changing many fields across science and across our society. In this talk, we will discuss how AI is and will change the field of medicine and healthcare. In particular, we focus on how AI can support the early detection of diseases as well as help with improved diagnosis and personalised therapies. Furthermore, we will discuss how AI solutions can be privacy-preserving while also providing trustworthy and explainable solutions for clinicians. Finally, I will highlight a number of applications in radiology which demonstrate the potential off AI in medicine and healthcare.
